If you bought any of these foods, go ahead and toss them out or bring them back for a refund.

A food company just made a major update to a recall for a popular Trader Joe's item, and now a bunch of other foods are included because there could be glass bits in them.

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Tuesday that Ajinomoto Foods North America has now recalled about 33.6 million more pounds of different ready-to-eat and not ready-to-eat foods—things like chicken and pork fried rice, ramen, and shu mai dumplings.

Here are four Trader Joe's products to look out for, along with their expiration dates:

  • Chicken Fried Rice – Best By Dates: 03/04/2026 through 02/10/2027

  • Vegetable Fried Rice – Best By Dates: 02/28/2026 through 11/19/2026

  • Japanese Style Fried Rice – Best By Dates: 02/28/2026 through 11/14/2026

  • Chicken Shu Mai – Best By Dates: 03/13/2026 through 10/23/2026

Originally, the manufacturer recalled about 3.4 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice back in late February because it "might have foreign material, specifically glass," according to FSIS. Now, the recall covers 16 products made between 10/21/2024 and 02/26/2026, with brands like Ajinomoto, Kroger, Ling Ling, Tai Pei, and Trader Joe’s.
